"We are satisfied customers of Green Team. Our lawn was a disaster--filled with creeping Charlie, dandelions, and other invasive plants. There was very little grass, especially in the back yard.
Patience has rewarded us, but know that a Green Team commission is a commitment. Just like you can't get in shape after 2 weeks at the gym, you won't see immediate changes. Don't expect a quick turnaround!
This is our third year with the Green Team,, and we are enjoying the benefits of lush growth, and few (but some) weeds. The important thing to us is that our small piece of the world is pesticide-free and home to butterflies, bees, and birds. The fauna are primarily due to my wife's gardening. (We've cut down the amount of grass and she has planted native perennials.)
For those committed to environmental safety and a healthy (not plastic-looking) lawn, the best way to go is organically, and the Green Team is a great option."

"Our vision of perennial beds and a prairie has come to life thanks to the Green Team.
From spring through late fall, we enjoy a succession of flowers and grasses that attract hummingbirds, butterflies, bees and songbirds. Darrell Smith, Horticultural Services Manager, helped us plan the prairie and recommended native plants that have thrived. The maintenance crew, led by Kathryn, is knowledgeable and responsive.
Last year we added a birch “grove” which enhanced habitat for birds, provided shade and increased the privacy in our backyard.
We recently added a gravel path through the prairie that makes it wheelchair accessible. It is truly an oasis."

"I have been a client of the Green Team for at least the last three years. They maintain and modify my landscaping and maintain my lawn. I've been delighted with their service. All of the staff are friendly, conscientious, responsive and responsible. Darrel has been very helpful with problem areas, and the maintenance crew is always pleasant and respectful. In the past, the Team designed and built a lovely dry river bed feature to help handle water from my sump pump. This has eliminated the need to use ugly black tubing. It looks natural and it works very well.
I like the emphasis on green, natural landscaping and lawn care. If you are considering this approach for the first time, you should be aware that the results for your lawn may not be quite the same as with a company that uses harsh chemicals routinely. My lawn looks good and it's comforting to know that children, pets and wildlife are able to play and live safely in the treated areas for most procedures.
It's also great that the Green Team uses renewable fuels and methods to power their equipment whenever possible, and that they are committed to treating their employees well. With the Green Team, I get good results with methods and business practices I feel good about supporting. But in the end, maybe the thing I like most is they're nice to work with."
